About Me

My name is Jordanna. But you can call me Jordy. Or Jay. Or Jordy J. I answer to most things. I started this blog because I needed a way to document my life. I've always wanted to be one of those people who journals daily, but the truth is, I have about 14 journals with only five pages of writing in each that I've accumulated throughout the past 15 years. So I thought, maybe blogging would be a better way for me to document life. Nothing spectacular. Just my daily life, and the moments that make it up.

I married my best friend John on January 26, 2008. Or J, as he's most often referred to in this blog. I'm a NICU nurse, which I love. And I'm a new mommy of perfect twin baby girls, Madelyn and Rachel, whom I love even more.

In addition, we acquired an array of pets. We found a cockatiel and since kept him and named him Luigi. We also have two rescue puppies. Emma's the big black one - our snoodle. Baker's the funny little brown one. Together, they are unstoppable. They keep me highly entertained and are the source of many of our laughs.

I have a younger sister, Carly. I love her SO much. We have countless adventures together. And we try to document all of them in photos.

I love to take pictures, play with my pups, go on coffee dates, visit Anthropologie, walk the aisles of Target, ride my bicycle, and dance in the kitchen. I love to read "Real Simple," organize, travel, craft, sing, laugh, and try new things. I enjoy the weather that most dread: clouds, a rainy day, snow, and gray skies. I love to be in community with others. I love spending time with my family and my friends. I love creating special moments to remember. I love celebrating... pretty much anything. I enjoy dreaming about what could be. I believe life is too short and too special to be lived the exact same every day. I take pictures so I won't forget.

I love my Savior Jesus Christ with my life. I desire to bring glory to Him daily. I'm thankful that He loves me regardless of whether or not I succeed at that. I am daily amazed by any and all of His creation.

So this is me. At least, me in a few little paragraphs. I invite you to journey with me through this crazy thing called life. And I encourage you to celebrate the moments.
