Caretaker J+E+B

I'm always thankful for J.
But lately, my hubby has been a rockstar taking care of me.

Over the last week, he has:

taken a couple days off to take care of me during and after my surgery,
made me jello,
brought me whatever my heart desired,
taken care of the animals [feeding and walks],
filled my explorer up with gas,
got me a smog check,
watched Boy Meets World reruns with me,
snuggled with me,
loved me,
took out the trash [a few times],
picked up my prescription,
chauffeured me around town,
eaten soft foods with me,
chatted with me,
encouraged me,
and prayed with me.

I'm so thankful for a husband who cares for me
and puppies who understand.
I have a great family.
I'm blessed.

Photography: The Sansom Family

Back in June, J and I took a few casual family photos for Ali and her family. Her parents just recently moved a few hours north from Ohio, and Ali's grandma was in town from Michigan, as well as Ali's brother from Missouri. I adore them all and have visited them a few times, so it was so fun to see them all again together in California and capture a bit of their family love and laughs!

Shout Out: Trevor Time

As much as I love baseball, I didn't get to go to many Padres games this season.
However, I went to a couple... and one of them was Trevor's retirement ceremony
I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Steve, Mom, Carly and I headed over to the game together a few Sundays ago.

The stadium was packed. {my favorite type of stadium is a packed stadium!}
 they introduced him to his song and he walked out with his family... amazing.
 they had 4 padres hall of famers there too.
 he got a car. {pretty sure he didn't need that... but it was sure cool!}
 his turn to talk.
yay trevor!!!
 then we watched the game ... and ate, of course {i think we had about 3 full meals each}
 mom and steve!

 i miss trevor. but i sure love our new closer.
 padres brought home a win.
 yay padres!!

It was so fun to be a part of Trevor's retirement ceremony
and to be at the ballpark with my family.
It's the best.
